How to Reset the Lamp Timer on Select InFocus Projectors

Some models of InFocus projectors require a specific button combination on the projector itself to reset the lamp timer. This can be particularly frustrating, as the projector may refuse to power on until the timer has been properly reset.

To make matters more complicated, the user manual typically offers no clear guidance on this process. Instead, it instructs users to refer to the documentation that originally came with the replacement lamp. Unfortunately, InFocus has long since discontinued these lamps—and with them, the original instruction sheets have largely been lost to time.

Thankfully, after some research, we've recovered the correct procedure for resetting the lamp timer on these units.

Reset Instructions:

1. Ensure the projector is plugged in and has power.
2. Press and hold both the Brightness Up and Brightness Down buttons on the projector simultaneously.
3. Continue holding for approximately 10 seconds.
4. Once complete, the lamp timer will reset and the projector should power on normally.

This simple process should get your projector up and running again without needing to replace anything further.
