In order to replace the bulb, do I need to replace the housing as well? Do I need to take the projector off the cieling mount before I replace the lamp? steve
Hello, thank you for reaching out.
The replacement unit we carry (and the listing you posted on) contains the lamp along with the housing and connector. This allows for an easy swap of the expired(-ing) lamp you currently have inside of your projector. Similar to replacing the ink in a printer, you simply remove the lamp door exposing the lamp and housing, then remove and replace the lamp and housing, and finally secure the lamp door.
Regarding your ceiling mount, it will likely have to be taken down before the lamp replacement happens. Potentially the lamp door may be exposed in the way it is mounted allowing it to be replaced in place. Either way, be sure to remove the projector from its power source before replacing the lamp!
